Wow! What a striking contrast.
Beautiful in both seasons. You live in a lovely part of the world. I am looking forward to a trip in September (belated birthday present for a significant birthday) and some of your posts will be my guides.
Like Before and After photos. Very Good!
I once drove through the Kirkstone Pass in the pouring rain. Walkers, soaked to the skin, trudged along the sides of the narrow road or - in some cases - huddled in the shelter of the walls. For once I was glad to be in a car rather than walking in those hills.
I remember being told that my Dad (before my time) rode a motorbike and sidecar combination up Kirkstone pass; did the last bit stood up to keep the nose of the bike down - and got a cheer from the customers outside the hostelry as he crested the brow.
It took me a few minutes to figure where the last photo was. WOW ! beautiful in both seasons. Much say I love the look of the winter one but I know the summer on would be somewhat easier !cheers, parsnip
I love the contrast! The starkness of Winter has its own beauty, but I like the warmer weather months best.
