YSP - Moore

In the summer holidays, a friend and I spent a day at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I'd been wanting to visit for a while and I wasn't disappointed.

These few posts aim to give you a flavour of just some of what was on offer.

And finally, walking back up the valley side towards the car park, were these bronze sculptures by artist Henry Moore, Upright Motive  No. 2 (1955-56)

With added sheep :)

I found these pieces quite appealing

and love the way that the sheep just amble around them as though they're perfectly normal field furniture.

And finally...

New Wine stewards will appreciate this one :)

  1. I like that almost 'totem' sense with several of these sculptures.

The sheep back view made me laugh!
